Our main priority is helping clients make great architecture that serves their needs and responds in a vital way to its context and cultural surroundings. In order to do this and to further the studios own knowledge base we invest in a wide programme of research which enables us to be inventive and to find new and sometimes unexpected solutions to the problems that we are posed.

We work in collaboration with like-minded consultants in order to further our thinking and skill level and since our inception, we have always looked to develope concepts grounded by good research that have a light touch on the planet, are low in carbon and energy-use. We look to our research to help us and our clients mitigate the impact of climate change.
54 AC

54AC is a renovation project in the heart of Notting Hill, focused on a single-storey extension and the complete transformation of an existing mews home. The project aims to minimally alter the existing structure while enhancing the quality of living through strategic interventions. Key objectives include introducing natural light into the deep floor plan and creating a high-quality family home that respects its context within a private estate.

The project also includes significant thermal improvements to enhance energy efficiency and comfort. The building has been upgraded with new wall insulation, which substantially enhances its thermal performance. Additionally, the installation of new underfloor heating provides consistent and efficient heat distribution throughout the home. These updates are complemented by other energy-saving features, ensuring that the home not only meets modern standards of living but also contributes to environmental sustainability.
